Medical Disclaimer
Please read this Medical Disclaimer carefully before using Stryde Fitness. By using the Service, you confirm that you understand and accept the statements below. This page is part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service.
1. What Stryde Fitness is
Stryde Fitness is an automated, information-based fitness application. It generates personalized training suggestions from information you voluntarily provide — such as your goal, experience level, available equipment, schedule, body measurements, injuries and lifestyle inputs — using rule-based programming logic.
The Service provides:
- Suggested workout plans, exercise selections, sets, reps, rest periods and progression.
- Educational information about exercise technique, structure and recovery.
- Tools to log workouts and track progress over time.
- Automated adjustments based on the information you enter.
2. What Stryde Fitness is not
Stryde Fitness is not a medical service. It is not designed, intended, or authorized to be used as a substitute for professional medical care. Specifically, Stryde Fitness does not:
- Provide medical advice, medical opinions, diagnosis or treatment.
- Function as a medical device or clinical decision-making tool.
- Diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, monitor or manage any disease, injury or condition.
- Replace advice, care or supervision from a qualified doctor, physiotherapist, surgeon, cardiologist, obstetrician, dietitian, mental health professional or any other licensed clinician.
- Provide emergency medical services or guidance in medical emergencies.
- Provide nutrition prescriptions, meal plans or clinical dietetic advice.
- Provide rehabilitation, return-to-play, post-surgical or injury-recovery protocols.
- Assess, screen or clear you as fit to exercise.
No coach, doctor, physiotherapist or other clinician reviews your account, your inputs or the plans generated for you. All recommendations are produced automatically by software.
3. Consult a qualified healthcare professional first
Before starting Stryde Fitness — or any new exercise program — you should discuss your plans with a qualified healthcare professional, especially if you have or may have any of the following:
- Heart, circulatory or blood-pressure conditions.
- Diabetes or other metabolic conditions.
- Respiratory conditions including asthma or COPD.
- Musculoskeletal injuries, joint problems or chronic pain.
- Recent surgery, illness or medical procedure.
- Current or previous cancer, or ongoing cancer treatment.
- Neurological, seizure or vestibular conditions.
- Pregnancy, recent childbirth or postpartum recovery.
- Eating disorders or a history of disordered eating.
- Any prescribed medication that may affect your response to exercise.
- Any other condition that could make exercise unsafe.
If you are unsure whether exercise is appropriate for you, do not rely on the Service to decide — speak to a qualified professional first.
4. Emergencies and warning signs
Stryde Fitness cannot detect medical emergencies. If you experience any of the following during or after exercise, stop immediately and seek urgent medical attention:
- Chest pain, tightness, pressure or discomfort.
- Severe shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting.
- Sudden or severe pain in a muscle, joint or the back.
- Irregular or racing heartbeat.
- Nausea, confusion, blurred vision or loss of coordination.
- Any other symptom that feels serious or out of the ordinary.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
5. Assumption of risk
Exercise carries inherent risks, including muscle strain, joint injury, falls, cardiovascular events and — in rare cases — serious or fatal injury. By using Stryde Fitness, you accept these risks and take full responsibility for:
- Deciding whether you are physically able to perform any recommended exercise.
- Warming up appropriately and using safe, controlled technique.
- Choosing loads, ranges of motion and intensities that are appropriate for you.
- Stopping immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or any other warning sign.
- Ensuring your training environment and equipment are safe.
You should never push through pain or ignore symptoms because the app has suggested an exercise. The app does not know your body — you do.
6. Accuracy of the information you provide
The quality of Stryde Fitness's recommendations depends entirely on the accuracy of the information you enter. If you provide inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information — including about injuries, health conditions or training experience — the resulting plan may not be appropriate for you. Please keep your profile up to date, especially any health-related information.
7. No professional relationship
Using Stryde Fitness does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, coach-client or any other professional relationship between you and Stryde Fitness or its owners, employees or contractors. Nothing in the Service should be interpreted as a medical, physiotherapy, psychological or nutritional consultation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stryde Fitness, its owners, employees, contractors and affiliates are not responsible or liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or from following any workout, recommendation or piece of exercise information provided through it. Full limitation-of-liability terms are set out in our Terms of Service.
